USA Hockey Safesport Quick Reference
ALL VOLUNTEERS
Due to USA Hockey Safe Sport requirements, all volunteers must register with USAH yearly, complete Safe Sport training, and Background checks must be renewed every two years. Youth hockey volunteers must complete their background screen and annual SafeSport training through the USA Hockey national portal.
USA HOCKEY MEMBERSHIP
Volunteers will need to obtain a USA Hockey number and register as a "Volunteer". A new USA Hockey number is needed every year.
If you are signing up as a VOLUNTEER, select the Manager/Volunteer option. There is no charge for this registration. It does NOT allow on-ice participation. Sign up as a volunteer if you're a team manager, scheduler or locker room monitor.

SAFESPORT
SafeSport training is required every year; if you completed it in the previous season, you will be notified by USA Hockey 30 days before the expiration date. If you are new to one of these roles, please follow the instructions on the USA Hockey Website. https://www.usahockey.com/safesporttraining
